Flirting is an important part of meeting people. Both men and women should be aware of the importance of flirting. The first thing to remember is a man flirts differently than a woman. Men must not talk too much about themselves and women must talk about themselves as much as possible. But keep in mind, don't over do it!
Because men normally take the lead when meeting a potential mate, men are more sensitive to rejection. Therefore, women must make it clear that they are interested. A man must not make it obvious. Men who can give the most from flirting are those who don't advertise their strengths. The key to becoming a successful male flirt is not to appear as if he is not flirting.
A Successful Male Flirt:
- Is protective—like a big brother
- Is focused on the woman

- Has confidence; easy going and stable
- Talks about important issues
- Maximizes a soft and gentle tone of voice
- Is honest and dependable
- Keeps her curious and appears challenging
A Successful Female Flirt:
- Knows how to be discreet
- Appears successful
- Enjoys her independence
- Has a neat and clean appearance
- Walks and moves slowly— like a cat
- Never offends a man's sense of pride or masculinity
- Maintains her composure
To be a successful male flirt, men must be patient and appear low key.
Women must do the opposite! Because men fear rejection, women must be repetitive with their gestures. Men need four, five or even six signals that a woman is flirting. Women, make your signals short and sweet, but don't appear easy if you're not!
Meeting the Lover of your Dreams
Now that you got him, how do you keep him? You keep him or her the old-fashioned way, courting. Before courting, there is the must important stage, the meeting stage. The thing to remember is just do it! Stay focused on the outcome you want, not the outcome you fear. Notice people’s first impression of you. Do you look cocky, goofy or out of shape? Remember, someone once said, "you never get a second chance to make a first impression." Be aware.
